Really, that is the question. Where to begin? Well since I was young I have enjoyed attending any and all haunted attractions in the Louisville, KY area. I personally hold an eye for design and scene suggestion. I also perform in a perspective that I see very few doing. Using oneself as the key of the scare then the props last. Pop scares are for the props not the actors. I get so many compliments after a show basically stating that, “You really get in to a character's persona” or “There are not many who do what you do and can do it well.” I've learned what works and what doesn't by watching horror movies, watching other actorsm and fallowing the direction of the director(s). I'm a fast learner, take direction, and improvise well.

I’m always looking to further my knowledge as to one day permanently work, partner, or even operate / direct a haunted attraction with some personal tastes and design added to them. Below you will find my personal experiences for past years employment at Waverly Hills Sanatorium: Haunted Hospital, Baxter Avenue Morguem and Industrial Nightmare .

-Security-

Waverly Hills Sanatorium (Employed by the owners) 2001-2003: Performed security duties of making sure customers made it to the front of the building where they would buy their tickets and enter. I have also had to fallow groups through the Attraction where I make sure that they do not come in physical contact with the props or actors. I know how to fallow groups of people threw the scenes where they trigger the props/ actors. I’m back far enough were I’m not interacting with the group, props, or actors. I’ve only had to do the walk through when we had someone causing problems waiting in line. I've been trained how to difuse troublesome situations in a nonviolent manner but can and have had to restrain until police arrive.

-Acting-

Waverly Hills Sanatorium (Employed by the owners) 2001-2003: I ran the chainsaw room where I would drop a wall and lock people in a room letting them scurry like mice. I would then wait till they noticed the door I dropped and thought it was the exit. I would walk up in front of them, say my lines and start the chainsaw I had. The chainsaw would be next to me at an idle and no one even saw it coming when I used it.

I also ran a chainsaw through the line to stir up the waiting people and in the “Death Tunnel” where people would be standing inside about 100 feet from me. I would walk in and drag my right leg and rake the chainsaw up against the wall in pitch black where flashlights were almost useless pointed at me, adding to the feeling of dread. I would say nothing. When I was half way to the victims I would then and only then I would use the chainsaw as a prop and not the character.

I also worked the line where I would come out the bushes or a behind a really big old tree. I used a lot of what I was saying with expression & then the chainsaw. The Waverly owners loved how I used chainsaws up there. I also know how to use shadows as cover & blend till that perfect moment to act.
When someone would see me I don’t know if it was my face cover in blood with the acting or if it was the chainsaw sometimes because I can get them good without even using the chainsaw.

For the seasons of 2004 to 2007, I've had the pleasure of working at the Baxter Avenue Morgue. I was Brought on as a guest in 2004 where I quickly found my place as an actor. In 2008 I moved over to the Industrial Nightmare located in Clarksville Indiana. Who knows where 2009 will take me.
